Its whitewashed houses and narrow streets, with their vividly colored doors and windows, characterize the typical architecture of the Cyclades, with blue being the predominant color. Perhaps due to the migration of Greeks to Panama, perhaps because of the heat and humidity of our climate, some architects have been inspired to follow this style. The result is a number of houses, mainly along the Pacific Coast, which reflect the Greek architectural style.

High, spacious rooms, thick walls, doors and windows of wood, together with stucco, mark this. Curves combine with other geometric shapes to produce spaces of different shapes and sizes and which break the monotony of the straight lines that we are used to seeing in the west. These work together to create something that is visually spectacular and which gives an overall
impression of movement. Walls covered using the thousand year old technique of
stucco, prepared using a lime base mixed with pigments and marble, which gives
a mixture that absorbs the colors better, making them more alive, hardwearing and
resistant to the humidity.

If you like blue and white maybe the pictures that follow will serve as an inspiration when you are

building your next beach house.
